This update guide is for all the iCarsoft scan tool range(minus the CR Max Series). This includes the CR 2.0 where you choose which manufacturer software to install
Get setup package
Download the iCarsoft Update Software package from HERE
Installation
Run the installation package, just click [Next] button all the way, and finish the installation.
Connect to Windows PC
Connect the scanner to PC via USB data cable or via SD card reader
Start application
Run the update software iCarsoft_MSDIAG_PCClientKits on your PC, the application will recognize the scanner by Serial Number.
The password is the UID number
If you have a new SD memory card for upgrade, the application cannot recognize SN and UID, the SN and UID will be asked. Submit SN and UID which show on the scanner’s screen to continue.
Login / Registration (PC should connects to internet)
Click [Upgrade] button to login and start updating. If the scanner is updated for the first time a registration step will be asked. Submit your email and UID which show on the scanner’s screen to complete registration.
If the application iCarsoft_MSDIAG_PCClientKits has a new updated version, an application upgrade will be asked, chose [YES] to download the newer version, then install automatically.
Upgrade
Press Download button to start software upgrade.
